Claire Bateman. It's embarrassing to say I've "discovered" her work, because she has written an incredibly diverse and impressive range of books of poems. But what an intelligent and weird and playful voice to have found!

An American Marriage. I thought I was too jaded to be completely taken in by a character in the first ten pages, but I was wrong.
